Orient Cement reported Q3 FY26 revenue of Rs 636 crore, nearly flat YoY, but PAT surged 174% to about Rs 28 crore. For 9M FY26, revenue grew 14% to Rs 2,146 crore and PAT jumped about 474% to Rs 282 crore, aided by lower costs and a lower tax-rate regime. Margins expanded. The board approved a scheme to merge Orient Cement into parent Ambuja Cements at a swap ratio of 33 Ambuja shares for every 100 Orient shares.
Strong earnings despite flat revenue. Key catalyst ahead is the pending amalgamation into Ambuja Cements, which will reshape the stock.
