Orient Electric posted Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs 949.76 cr, up 23.5% from Rs 769.08 cr in Q1 FY26. Profit after tax rose 79.7% to Rs 31.49 cr from Rs 17.52 cr. EPS stood at Rs 1.48 versus Rs 0.82. Both segments grew strongly, with Electrical Consumer Durables up 22.7% and Lighting and Switchgear up 25.4% YoY. The company booked a one-time exceptional loss of Rs 3.96 cr from writing down capital assets at its Noida factory, which is being consolidated. Auditor S.R. Batliboi gave an unqualified limited review.
Strong double-digit revenue and profit growth signal healthy demand, though the Noida consolidation led to a small one-time exceptional charge.
