Orient Electric Limited reported FY2026 revenue of Rs 3,326.39 crore, up 7.5% from Rs 3,093.68 crore in FY2025. Profit after tax grew 15.2% to Rs 95.84 crore from Rs 83.21 crore. EPS improved to Rs 4.49 from Rs 3.90. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.75 per share, making total dividend Rs 1.50 per share (150%) for FY2026, including Rs 0.75 interim dividend already paid. Exceptional items of Rs 10.16 crore included Rs 8.65 crore for new labour codes impact and Rs 1.51 crore from manufacturing consolidation. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial results. The company has contingent liabilities of Rs 64.31 crore in ongoing GST litigation appeals, though management believes these have strong merit.
The 15% PAT growth and 150% total dividend payout signal financial stability and shareholder-friendly policy. The clean auditor opinion and positive operating cash flow (Rs 110 crore) are encouraging, though the 7.5% revenue growth is moderate and the GST contingent liabilities warrant monitoring.
