Orient Electric Limited reported revenue from operations of Rs 3,326.39 crore for FY2026, up 7.5% from Rs 3,093.68 crore in the prior year. Profit after tax grew 15.2% to Rs 95.84 crore from Rs 83.21 crore, with EPS rising to Rs 4.49 from Rs 3.90. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.75 per share, taking total dividend for FY2026 to Rs 1.50 per share (150%), including an interim dividend already paid. Exceptional items of Rs 10.16 crore were recorded — Rs 8.65 crore for incremental labour code liabilities and Rs 1.51 crore from write-down of assets at the Noida manufacturing facility being consolidated. Statutory auditors S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP issued an unmodified opinion. Deloitte was reappointed as Internal Auditor for FY2026-27.
Solid all-round growth with PAT up 15% and margin improvement, though revenue growth missed high expectations. The exceptional items are non-recurring and the clean audit opinion is positive. Dividend of Rs 1.50 per share provides near-term shareholder reward.
