Oriental Hotels Limited has reported its Q1 FY26 results. Standalone revenue from operations rose to ₹10,695 lakhs, up about 31% from ₹8,136 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Standalone profit after tax jumped to ₹871 lakhs from ₹364 lakhs, a growth of roughly 139% year-on-year, with EPS at ₹0.49 versus ₹0.20. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew to ₹10,797 lakhs and profit after tax (including share of associates and joint venture) rose to ₹663 lakhs from ₹331 lakhs. Total expenses increased modestly to ₹9,398 lakhs standalone, indicating operating leverage. The statutory auditor (PKF Sridhar & Santhanam LLP) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Strong topline growth combined with much higher profits signals a robust recovery in the hotel business, which is positive for shareholders. However, the joint venture reported a loss of ₹306 lakhs, which is a drag on consolidated earnings worth monitoring.
