Oriental Trimex Limited reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited standalone results. Revenue from operations rose sharply to Rs 169.85 lakh from Rs 54.33 lakh in Q1 FY25, a jump of over 200%. Total revenue stood at Rs 351.03 lakh, boosted by Rs 181.18 lakh of other income, which includes a one-time Rs 1.79 crore interest charged to a debtor. Profit after tax came in at Rs 59.56 lakh versus Rs 48 lakh in the year-ago quarter, a growth of about 24%. The board also approved the re-appointment of Mr. Rajesh Kumar Punia as Managing Director for five years starting January 1, 2026, and the appointment of M/s. Aditya S Jain and Company as the new statutory auditor for five years from the conclusion of the 29th AGM. A new secretarial auditor, M/s. Aman Kesarwani & Associates, was also appointed for five years. The limited review report by the existing auditor (S. Agarwal & Co.) was clean with no qualifications.
The headline profit growth looks healthy but is largely propped up by a one-time interest recovery from a debtor, not from core operations. Shareholders should watch whether the strong revenue momentum sustains in coming quarters. The auditor change is a governance event worth tracking.
