Oswal Greentech reported strong Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations rising about 27% year-on-year to ₹20.19 crore from ₹15.85 crore in Q1 FY25. Total income grew to ₹27.60 crore and profit after tax jumped roughly 43% to ₹6.66 crore (from ₹4.67 crore), translating to a basic EPS of ₹0.26 versus ₹0.18 a year ago. Segment-wise, the Investment Activities segment drove the profits with a ₹4.98 crore contribution, while the Real Estate segment continued to post a loss of about ₹3.43 crore. The auditor issued an unqualified review report but flagged an Emphasis of Matter regarding a dispute on interest on Inter Corporate Deposits and an arbitration award of ₹97.17 crore passed in the company's favour against a total claim of ₹472.12 crore, leaving a shortfall of ₹374.95 crore that the company is still evaluating.
Headline numbers look healthy with strong revenue and profit growth, but shareholders should note the large unresolved arbitration shortfall and the related interest income dispute, both of which could materially impact the investment segment that drives the bulk of the company's profits.
