Padam Cotton Yarns reported strong Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations of ₹1,370.88 lakhs, compared to virtually nil revenue in Q1 FY25 (same quarter last year). Total income stood at ₹1,407.16 lakhs, up from just ₹5.23 lakhs a year ago. Profit before tax was ₹256.69 lakhs versus a small loss of ₹1.30 lakhs in Q1 FY25, and profit after tax surged to ₹202.95 lakhs from the prior-year loss. Basic and diluted EPS came in at ₹1.57 versus near-zero in Q1 FY25. The statutory auditor (SVJK and Associates) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications or concerns flagged. Separately, the board appointed Mr. Ashish Goyal of M/s A. Goyal & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for a 5-year term (FY26–FY30), subject to shareholder approval.
The sharp jump in revenue and a swing to profit suggest the company has commenced or scaled up trading operations meaningfully in Q1 FY26. Shareholders should note that the year-on-year comparison is against an unusually low base, so the headline growth may not be sustained at this pace in coming quarters. The clean auditor report and appointment of a new secretarial auditor are routine governance matters.
