IREDA has completed the allotment of 12,14,66,562 equity shares (face value ₹10 each) to eligible qualified institutional buyers at an issue price of ₹165.14 per share, including a premium of ₹155.14. The shares received listing and trading approval from NSE and BSE on June 11 and June 12, 2025, respectively. As a result, the company's paid-up equity share capital has risen from approximately ₹2,687.76 crore to ₹2,809.23 crore, an increase of about ₹121.47 crore. This is a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) that strengthens the company's capital base.
The QIP allotment increases IREDA's share capital and equity dilution, which may put short-term pressure on the stock price. However, the fresh capital raised can support the company's lending and renewable energy financing activities, which is positive for long-term growth.
