Panasonic Carbon India reported strong Q2 FY26 results with revenue from operations of Rs 17.12 crore, up about 29% year-on-year from Rs 13.29 crore in Q2 FY25. Profit after tax for the quarter rose to Rs 5.92 crore from Rs 4.98 crore, a growth of around 19% YoY. For the half year (H1 FY26), revenue stood at Rs 33.00 crore vs Rs 28.06 crore in H1 FY25 (~17.6% growth), while PAT was Rs 12.22 crore vs Rs 10.96 crore. EBITDA margin improved meaningfully in Q2, supported by strong other income (largely interest on deposits). Operating cash flow remained healthy at Rs 7.58 crore for H1 FY26. The statutory auditor BSR & Co. LLP issued an unmodified limited review report.
Strong Q2 revenue growth and margin expansion are positive signals for shareholders, though the company is essentially a debt-free cash-rich entity reliant on interest income and a single product line (carbon rods/electrodes), so operational growth should be assessed alongside this dependence.
