Paradeep Phosphates Limited reported strong FY2026 results with standalone revenue growing 28.7% to Rs. 21,826 Crores (vs Rs. 16,959 Crores in FY2025) and PAT surging 50.4% to Rs. 997 Crores (vs Rs. 663 Crores). The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share. The merger with Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (MCFL) with appointed date of April 1, 2024 has been accounted for, requiring restatement of prior period figures. Auditors BSR & Co. LLP issued unmodified (clean) opinions. There is an Emphasis of Matter noting the restatement due to the Composite Scheme of Arrangement. An exceptional item of Rs. 39.42 Crores was recorded for labour code changes. Mrs. Rita Menon was re-appointed as Independent Director for another 3-year term.
Strong profitability growth and dividend announcement are positive for shareholders. However, the company reported negative operating cash flow of Rs. 1,012 Crores driven by high working capital (inventories and receivables), which could be a concern. The merger-related restatement and exceptional items add complexity to the financials.
