Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels reported its Q1 FY26 results. Standalone revenue from operations rose to Rs. 148.26 crores from Rs. 129.85 crores YoY (about 14% growth). Standalone EBITDA improved to Rs. 48.12 crores from Rs. 41.44 crores, and profit after tax swung to Rs. 17.09 crores from a Rs. 1.83 crore loss (the prior year loss was due to a one-time deferred tax charge of Rs. 19.33 crores). On a consolidated basis, revenue grew to Rs. 154.25 crores and PAT came in at Rs. 13.42 crores. The auditor (S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP) issued an unmodified review report. The company also converted Rs. 70.47 crores of unsecured loans to its wholly-owned subsidiary (Apeejay North-West Hotels) into Optionally Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares.
The hotel chain posted a healthy rebound in profitability, though the headline PAT jump is largely a base-effect swing from a one-time tax charge last year. Modest revenue growth and stable EBITDA margins suggest steady operations. The loan-to-OCRPS conversion with the subsidiary is a balance sheet reclassification rather than new cash impact for shareholders.
