On the reaction day the stock moved 1.6 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.3 pts more than its Chemicals & Petrochemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
PCBL Chemical reported Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 2,474 crore, EBITDA of Rs 310 crore and profit after tax of Rs 74 crore, up 14%, 12% and 20% year on year. H1 revenue was Rs 4,948 crore and profit after tax Rs 229 crore. Volumes stayed under pressure, but higher power realisations, pricing discipline and cost optimisation supported profits.
Profit growth despite volume pressure is positive, but margins depend on pricing, power realisations and cost control; execution is key.
