Piramal Pharma reported its Q1 FY26 results on July 28, 2025. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell ~8.8% YoY to Rs. 969.88 cr from Rs. 1,063.20 cr, but other income surged to Rs. 180.92 cr (vs Rs. 36.76 cr), lifting total income ~4.6% to Rs. 1,150.80 cr. Standalone net profit jumped ~32.7% YoY to Rs. 113.14 cr (vs Rs. 85.27 cr), with EPS at Rs. 0.85 (vs Rs. 0.64). On a consolidated basis, revenue was nearly flat at Rs. 1,933.71 cr (vs Rs. 1,951.14 cr), and the company reported a net loss of Rs. 81.70 cr, slightly narrower than the Rs. 88.64 cr loss a year ago. A one-time exceptional gain of Rs. 20.74 cr — proceeds from an IBC resolution where step-down subsidiary PCCI recovered dues from a supplier that had quality issues — boosted consolidated results. Auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued an unqualified limited review report on both sets of results.
Standalone shows healthy profitability improvement driven by strong other income (likely treasury/dividend flows), but the weak top-line and the still-negative consolidated bottom line (despite narrowing) signal ongoing pressure in the core pharma business. The exceptional IBC recovery is a positive one-off, but underlying operating performance remains a watchpoint for shareholders.
