Piramal Pharma reported its Q1 FY26 results, with standalone revenue from operations at Rs. 969.88 crores, down about 8.8% from Rs. 1,063.20 crores in the same quarter last year. Despite the revenue dip, standalone net profit rose roughly 33% YoY to Rs. 113.14 crores (vs Rs. 85.27 crores), helped by a sharp jump in other income to Rs. 180.92 crores. Standalone EPS stood at Rs. 0.85 versus Rs. 0.64 a year ago. On a consolidated basis, revenue was nearly flat at Rs. 1,933.71 crores, but the company slipped to a net loss of Rs. 81.70 crores (vs Rs. 88.64 cr loss in Q1 FY25). A Rs. 20.74 crore exceptional gain from a settlement in the IBC proceedings of a supplier to its critical care subsidiary cushioned the consolidated loss. The results carry a clean limited review report from Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP.
Mixed picture for shareholders – standalone profits look healthier year-on-year, largely driven by non-operating income, while the consolidated business continues to report losses, though slightly narrower than last year. The stock reaction may depend on how investors weigh the one-time other-income boost versus the persistent consolidated loss.
