PNB Gilts Limited, a subsidiary of Punjab National Bank, announced audited results for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2025. Full year revenue from operations rose to Rs 1,675.98 crore from Rs 1,576.36 crore, a growth of about 6.3%. Profit after tax surged sharply to Rs 233.03 crore from Rs 69.41 crore in the previous year, an increase of roughly 236%, driven by higher net gains on securities and lower finance costs. Earnings per share rose to Rs 12.95 from Rs 3.86. The Board recommended a final dividend of Re. 1 per share (10%), unchanged from the prior year, subject to shareholder approval. Capital adequacy remained strong at 44.68% versus the RBI requirement of 15%, and return on equity improved to 18.46% from 5.84%. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion on the financial results.
Sharp jump in profits and unchanged dividend reflect strong operational performance and a healthy capital position, which is positive for shareholders. However, operating cash flow remained negative at Rs 196.88 crore, which investors should monitor.
