PNB Housing Finance's long-term Crisil rating upgraded from AA plus/Stable to AAA/Stable, the highest safety category. Short-term Crisil A1+ reaffirmed. Upgrade covers Rs 9,000 crore bank loans, Rs 3,410 crore debentures, Rs 20,000 crore fixed deposits, and Rs 500 crore Tier II bonds. Crisil cited expected support from promoter Punjab National Bank, strong capitalisation, and comfortable earnings. AUM at Rs 93,021 crore in June 2026.
Positive. Highest AAA rating boosts credit profile, may lower borrowing costs, and strengthens investor confidence in the stock.
