Pokarna Limited reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited results alongside an AGM notice. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations fell to ₹17,096 lakhs from ₹19,256 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a decline of about 11%. Net profit dropped to ₹2,829 lakhs (vs ₹3,309 lakhs), with diluted EPS at ₹9.13 vs ₹10.67. The Quartz Surfaces segment drove earnings with a ₹5,850 lakh segment profit, while the Granites segment posted a ₹79 lakh loss. On a standalone basis, the company reported a net loss of ₹226 lakhs, narrower than the ₹368 lakh loss a year ago, but revenue fell to ₹487 lakhs from ₹598 lakhs. The board also appointed Mr. Gautam Damodar Sawang, a retired IPS officer, as an Additional Independent Director for 3 years, subject to shareholder approval. The 34th AGM is scheduled for September 10, 2025, via video conferencing, with the book closure from September 4–10, 2025 and e-voting from September 7–9, 2025. Statutory auditors S. Daga & Co. issued an unqualified limited review report on both results.
Consolidated profit and revenue both slipped year-on-year, signalling slower demand or pricing pressure, particularly in Granites. However, the Quartz Surfaces business remains the strong cash and profit engine, and the consolidated bottom line is still healthy. Shareholders should watch the AGM for dividend approval and the new Independent Director's confirmation.
