Power Grid's board approved audited FY25 results on 19 May 2025. Standalone revenue from operations came in at Rs. 41,431 crore, slightly down from Rs. 42,391 crore in FY24, while standalone profit for the year stood at Rs. 15,354 crore versus Rs. 15,475 crore last year. On a consolidated basis, revenue was nearly flat at Rs. 45,792 crore and consolidated PAT was Rs. 15,521 crore versus Rs. 15,573 crore. Other income rose sharply to Rs. 4,894 crore from Rs. 3,424 crore, helped by a Rs. 245.6 crore profit from transferring the remaining 26% stake in four transmission SPVs to PGInvIT. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1.25 per share, taking total FY25 dividend to Rs. 9.00 per share (including two interim dividends already paid). Statutory auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Results show stable, mature performance with no surprises — flat revenues and a marginal dip in profits are normal for a regulated transmission utility. The total dividend of Rs. 9 per share (90% payout on face value) continues to make Power Grid an attractive income stock. Clean audit opinion and no change in auditor are positive signals for shareholders.
