PPAP Automotive reported FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 53,629.54 lakhs, marginally lower than FY25's Rs 53,764.17 lakhs. Net profit surged to Rs 3,343.48 lakhs from Rs 1,409.27 lakhs in FY25, a 137% increase, but this was driven by exceptional items including a Rs 4,978.61 lakh gain from sale of stake in Joint Venture offset by Rs 1,711.61 lakh impairment loss on subsidiary investment. Before exceptional items, operating profit declined to Rs 962.51 lakhs from Rs 1,877.58 lakhs. The Board also approved merger of wholly-owned subsidiary Avinya Batteries Limited and slump sale of Tooling Business to Meraki Precision Tool Engineering Limited. A final dividend of Rs 1.50 per share was recommended.
The core automotive business showed no revenue growth and declining profitability before exceptional items, suggesting operational challenges. The large one-time gain inflated net profit significantly, which investors should treat with caution when evaluating underlying business performance.
