Pratik Panels Ltd reported FY25 revenue from operations of Rs. 305.60 lakhs, up about 18% from Rs. 259.37 lakhs in FY24, while total income rose to Rs. 334.11 lakhs. However, profit before exceptional items and tax nearly halved to Rs. 34.00 lakhs (from Rs. 65.13 lakhs), dragged down by sharply higher expenses of Rs. 300.11 lakhs vs Rs. 218.40 lakhs. The company booked an exceptional loss of Rs. 8.41 lakhs due to theft, bringing FY25 net profit down to Rs. 25.29 lakhs versus Rs. 46.98 lakhs last year, with EPS slipping to Rs. 0.04 from Rs. 0.07. The balance sheet shows total assets of Rs. 656.47 lakhs, negative other equity of Rs. -14.43 lakhs (improving from -40.01), fresh short-term borrowings of Rs. 28 lakhs, and no long-term debt. Cash flow from operations turned sharply negative at Rs. -109.04 lakhs versus a positive Rs. 44.38 lakhs in FY24, mainly due to a steep jump in trade receivables.
Despite top-line growth, sharply higher costs, an exceptional theft loss, and negative operating cash flow signal weakening profitability and working-capital stress for shareholders. The auditor issued an unqualified opinion, but the shrinking margins and negative operating cash flow are red flags for the stock.
