Premier Explosives' board, on May 22, 2025, approved audited standalone and consolidated results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025 with an unmodified auditor opinion. Total revenue from operations jumped to Rs. 41,745 lakhs from Rs. 27,172 lakhs in FY24, a rise of about 54%, but profit before tax slipped to Rs. 3,754 lakhs from Rs. 4,025 lakhs as raw material costs more than doubled. Profit after tax was nearly flat at Rs. 2,855 lakhs (vs Rs. 2,812 lakhs), with EPS of Rs. 5.31. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.50 per share (25% on face value of Rs. 2), subject to shareholder approval. The company also disclosed a major fire on April 29, 2025 at its Katepally propellant plant, with damage covered by insurance but a closure order received from the Telangana pollution control board.
Strong top-line growth was offset by sharp raw material cost inflation, squeezing margins and leaving bottom-line growth muted despite the revenue surge. The 25% dividend offers modest yield support, while the Katepally fire, insurance coverage and ongoing regulatory consent are key near-term monitorables for investors.
