Premier Polyfilm's board approved unaudited Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone results. Revenue from operations fell to Rs 7,444 lakh from Rs 8,279 lakh year-on-year (a decline of about 10%), but net profit rose to Rs 600 lakh from Rs 559 lakh (up about 7.3%). EPS stood at Rs 0.57 vs Rs 0.53 in the year-ago quarter. The 33rd AGM is scheduled for September 24, 2025 via video conferencing, with the record date window set from September 18–24, 2025 to determine shareholders eligible for the FY24-25 dividend. The board also appointed Sumit Bajaj & Associates as Secretarial Auditor (5-year term), Cheena & Associates as Cost Auditor, and D D Bansal Associates as Internal Auditor for FY25-26. Notably, Shri Mayank Goenka, the 27-year-old son of MD & CEO Amitaabh Goenka, was appointed as Additional Executive Director, while Ram Babu Verma was re-appointed as Executive Director for 12 months.
Mixed financial performance — topline shrank roughly 10% YoY while bottomline grew modestly, and a sizeable jump in depreciation (Rs 447 lakh vs Rs 129 lakh) drove most of the profit increase, which investors may scrutinise. The appointment of the MD/CEO's son as Executive Director is a related-party decision and could be viewed as a corporate governance red flag by some shareholders. Near-term catalysts include the September 24 AGM and the FY24-25 dividend declaration.
