NCLAT has closed the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) of Prime Focus Limited and set aside the insolvency order dated May 6, 2026. The company argued it is solvent with 12,000 employees and assets exceeding liabilities. No claims were received during the CIRP. Parties entered a Discharge Agreement on July 1, 2026. NCLAT also ordered withdrawal of lien on a fixed deposit of about Rs. 353.8 crores to be disbursed per the agreement.
Big relief for shareholders: insolvency threat lifted, company restored as a going concern, and Rs. 353.8 crore deposit lien released per settlement.
