Prime Focus's indirect subsidiary Double Negative Films acquired 3,118,865 more shares in Spanish animation studio Anima Kitchent Canarias for cash of INR 33.05 crore. The purchase lifted DNFL's stake by 2.41 percentage points to 50.86% and was completed on November 4, 2026. Anima reported turnover of INR 92 crore, profit after tax of INR 11 crore and net worth of INR 68 crore. The deal provides access to Spanish animation production and markets.
The deal expands Prime Focus's Spanish animation reach, but the INR 33.05 crore cash outlay adds execution and integration risk.
