Prince Pipes' board approved audited standalone results for FY25 (year ended March 31, 2025). Revenue from operations fell slightly to Rs 2,524 crore from Rs 2,569 crore in FY24, a decline of about 1.7%. Profit after tax dropped sharply to Rs 43.1 crore from Rs 182.5 crore in FY24 (which had a one-time exceptional gain of Rs 17.9 crore from a property settlement). On a like-for-like basis excluding that exceptional item, the core business remains profitable but earnings are far weaker year-on-year. The board recommended a modest final dividend of Rs 0.50 per share (5% on face value), subject to shareholder approval. The statutory auditor N.A. Shah Associates LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The company also appointed a new Secretarial Auditor for a 5-year term and reappointed its Cost Auditor for FY26.
Sharply lower core earnings and a weak dividend (down from prior years) signal continued pressure on margins and demand for the company's pipes and fittings business. The clean audit opinion and modest dividend offer some reassurance, but shareholders should expect muted stock reaction given the steep fall in profitability.
