Pro Fin Capital Services Ltd, an RBI-registered NBFC, reported a strong turnaround in FY25 with total income rising to Rs. 2,496.50 lakhs from Rs. 2,179.24 lakhs in FY24, a growth of about 14.6%. Profit after tax swung from a loss of Rs. 39.96 lakhs in FY24 to a profit of Rs. 291.98 lakhs in FY25, while profit before tax stood at Rs. 415.19 lakhs against a loss of Rs. 23.30 lakhs earlier. The company raised Rs. 37.93 crores through a rights issue during the year, taking paid-up equity capital to about Rs. 29.63 crores (29.63 crore shares of Rs. 1 each). No dividend was declared. Capital adequacy (CRAR) improved to 10.56% from 7.61% and Liquidity Coverage Ratio rose to 1.98 from 1.12. The company also appointed a new statutory auditor, K S Subrahmanyam & Co, in October 2024, replacing the previous auditor mid-year.
Shareholders see a clear return to profitability and stronger capital position, though the rights issue has expanded the share count considerably and no dividend was paid. The mid-year auditor change and several secretarial compliance gaps flagged by the secretarial auditor are minor governance concerns worth monitoring.
