Edelweiss Financial Services has approved a public issue of secured, redeemable NCDs with a face value of ₹1,000 each. The base size is ₹1,500 million with a green shoe option of another ₹1,500 million, taking the total issue limit to ₹3,000 million (30 lakh NCDs). The issue opens on July 8, 2025 and closes on July 21, 2025. Coupon rates range from 9.00% to 10.50% per annum across 12 series, with tenors spanning 24 months to 120 months. The NCDs are rated CRISIL A+/Stable, carry a pari passu charge on the issuer's assets with 100% security cover, and will be listed on BSE within six working days of issue closure.
The fundraise will add to the company's borrowings but is backed by adequate security and an A+ rating, signalling manageable credit risk. For existing shareholders, the issue may lead to modest dilution of unsecured asset coverage, though it does not involve equity dilution. Retail investors can consider these NCDs for fixed-income exposure at yields competitive with current market rates.
