The company turned profitable from continuing operations, posting a profit of Rs. 726.33 Lakhs compared to a loss of Rs. 681.66 Lakhs in the previous year. Total profit after tax more than doubled to Rs. 2,529.02 Lakhs from Rs. 1,187.02 Lakhs, driven significantly by discontinued operations (fresh fruit business) which contributed Rs. 1,802.69 Lakhs to net profit. EPS from total operations improved to Rs. 31.73 from Rs. 14.89. The company completed a share buy-back during the year. Statutory auditors FP & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) audit opinion.
The company achieved a remarkable turnaround with PAT more than doubling, signaling operational efficiency. However, investors should note that a substantial portion of profits comes from discontinued operations related to the sold fresh fruit business, which may not be sustainable going forward.
