Purple Agrotech Industries (formerly Purple Entertainment) reported a Q3 FY26 net loss of Rs. 5.06 lakhs, swinging from a profit of Rs. 12.21 lakhs in Q3 FY25. Revenue from operations remains NIL across all periods, with the company earning only 'Other Income' of Rs. 4.98 lakhs in Q3 FY26 versus Rs. 30.33 lakhs a year ago. For nine months FY26, PAT fell to Rs. 17.19 lakhs from Rs. 29.86 lakhs in 9M FY25 — a decline of around 42%. An unusual Rs. 509.82 lakhs stock-in-trade purchase was booked in Q3 with an offsetting inventory reduction, but no operating revenue was recognised against it. Statutory auditor HSK & Co LLP issued an unqualified limited review report.
With no operating revenue and a quarterly loss, the company is fully dependent on other (likely interest) income. The sharp YoY decline in earnings and absence of a core business is negative for shareholder confidence and raises questions about long-term viability.
