PVR INOX's board approved its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone revenue from operations grew ~20.7% year-on-year to Rs. 1,372.9 crore (from Rs. 1,137.3 crore in Q1 FY25), while consolidated revenue rose ~23.4% to Rs. 1,469.1 crore. Despite continued losses, the company showed a sharp improvement — standalone net loss narrowed to Rs. 51.2 crore from Rs. 176.2 crore, and consolidated net loss shrank to Rs. 54 crore from Rs. 178.7 crore. Operating margin expanded meaningfully to 28.82% (standalone) and 27.04% (consolidated), up from 22.03% and 21.12% a year ago. Statutory auditors S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP issued an unmodified limited review report on the results.
The strong revenue growth combined with significant loss reduction and expanding operating margins signals a clear recovery in the cinema exhibition business, which is positive for shareholders. The narrowing losses and better cost absorption may gradually support sentiment, though the company is still in the red, so profitability remains a work in progress.
