Quadrant Televentures, the operator of Connect Broadband, reported revenue of Rs 5,247 lakh for Q2 FY26, down about 11% year-on-year from Rs 5,881 lakh, with H1 revenue declining to Rs 10,688 lakh from Rs 12,191 lakh. Net loss narrowed to Rs 1,670 lakh in Q2 and Rs 3,053 lakh in H1, compared to Rs 3,234 lakh and Rs 6,244 lakh respectively a year ago, partly due to lower finance costs. The company is under Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) since September 2, 2025, following an NCLT order on a Rs 364.86 crore default by a consortium of financial creditors, and is now managed by a Resolution Professional. The auditor highlighted material uncertainty on going concern given continuous losses, current liabilities vastly exceeding current assets, and defaulted borrowings, while flagging that Rs 551 lakh of interest was not booked owing to the CIRP moratorium. Other equity is deeply negative at around Rs (2,87,704) lakh against current borrowings of about Rs 1,92,881 lakh, leaving shareholders in a precarious position pending the outcome of the resolution plan.
For shareholders, this is a highly distressed situation — equity is deeply negative, the company is in insolvency, and any recovery will depend entirely on the CIRP resolution plan and how lenders are treated. The stock is likely to remain volatile and speculative, with existing equity holders standing at the back of the creditor queue and facing significant risk of near-total loss.
