The NCLT Mumbai bench has extended the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) for Quadrant Televentures Limited by 90 days, from March 2, 2026 to May 30, 2026. This is the first extension beyond the initial 180-day window permitted under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, taking the total resolution timeline to 270 days. The extension was sought by Resolution Professional Rajesh Jhunjhunwala after Form-G was issued and 8 resolution plans were received from potential applicants. The company has been under CIRP since September 2, 2025, following a Section 7 petition filed by IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited.
Shareholders should note that the insolvency resolution is taking longer than the original timeline, pushing the deadline to end-May 2026. While the receipt of 8 resolution plans indicates some bidding interest, the extended timeline keeps the stock under trading suspension and uncertainty around equity recovery remains high.
