On the reaction day the stock moved 1.8 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.3 pts less than its Diversified Commercial Services peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The Income Tax Dispute Resolution Panel (DRP) passed an order on December 23, 2025 for FY 2021-22, with directions in line with adjustments from FY 2017-18 to FY 2020-21, which the company is already contesting before the Tax Tribunal. The DCIT will now pass a final order quantifying the tax liability. Quess Corp says it will appeal the final order and contest on merits. Financial impact and contingent liability will be reassessed after the DCIT order is received.
Pending tax dispute outcome; financial impact not yet quantified but could increase contingent liabilities if appeal fails.
