On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.0 pts more than its Diversified Commercial Services peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Quess Corp reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹36,514.18 million for Q1 FY26, up about 1.8% from ₹35,868.72 million in Q1 FY25. Profit before tax came in at ₹522.32 million (vs ₹483.96 million YoY), and net profit was ₹509.86 million (vs ₹490.23 million YoY), a roughly 4% rise. Basic EPS stood at ₹3.42 on a consolidated basis and ₹3.54 on a standalone basis. Standalone revenue was ₹33,661.84 million with net profit of ₹527.12 million. The auditor (Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP) issued a qualified review conclusion mainly due to uncertainty around disputed Income Tax deductions under Section 80JJAA (contingent liability of ₹2,963.84 million) and highlighted an ongoing PF demand of ₹716.56 million as an emphasis-of-matter item. Prior period numbers have been restated following the Composite Scheme of Arrangement (demerger).
Results are broadly stable with marginal YoY growth, but the qualified auditor opinion and large unresolved tax/PF contingencies remain overhangs for shareholders. Restated comparable figures from the demerger make quarter-on-quarter trend analysis less straightforward.
