R R Kabel reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of ₹2,058.59 crore, up about 13.9% from ₹1,808.11 crore in Q1 FY25. Standalone profit after tax jumped nearly 38.9% to ₹88.76 crore versus ₹63.89 crore a year ago, with EPS rising to ₹7.85 from ₹5.66. The Wires & Cables segment remained the growth engine with segment profit of ₹139.13 crore, while the FMEG (Fast-Moving Electrical Goods) segment continued to post a loss, though the loss narrowed sharply to ₹7.13 crore from ₹20.65 crore in the year-ago quarter. Consolidated results were broadly in line, with PAT of ₹89.77 crore. Statutory auditors B S R & Co. LLP issued an unmodified (clean) limited review report on both the standalone and consolidated numbers.
A healthy double-digit revenue growth combined with nearly 39% PAT growth signals strong operating leverage and improved profitability, which is positive for shareholders. The continued but shrinking losses in the FMEG segment are a watch point, though the overall earnings beat makes this a constructive quarter for the stock.
