Rainbow Foundations Ltd reported strong FY25 results with revenue from operations rising about 67% to Rs. 15,612.50 lakhs from Rs. 9,348.28 lakhs last year. Profit before tax jumped to Rs. 1,103.20 lakhs (vs Rs. 429.35 lakhs) and profit after tax more than doubled to Rs. 801.09 lakhs (vs Rs. 381.87 lakhs), pushing EPS to Rs. 1.61 from Rs. 0.77. Total assets grew to Rs. 73,878.83 lakhs, driven mainly by a large build-up in inventories to Rs. 65,474.92 lakhs. However, cash flow from operations was deeply negative at Rs. (8,000.92) lakhs, reflecting heavy working capital absorption, and the company continues to carry large unsecured loans from promoter/director relatives of Rs. 16,443.37 lakhs on which Rs. 2,146.04 lakhs of interest was paid during the year. Statutory auditor M/s Gasm Dansr and Co. issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Strong top-line and earnings growth is a positive signal for shareholders, but the negative operating cash flow and high reliance on related-party borrowings (over 3x debt-to-equity) raise concerns about financial sustainability and working-capital strain. Investors should watch for cash flow recovery and reduction in related-party debt in coming quarters.
