Raja Bahadur International's board, meeting on November 14, 2025, approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q2 and H1 FY26 (quarter ended September 30, 2025). Revenue from operations was largely flat at Rs. 698.95 lakhs in Q2 (vs Rs. 670.96 lakhs a year ago), while the company swung to a net profit of Rs. 77.47 lakhs in Q2 from a loss of Rs. 55.92 lakhs in the same quarter last year, helped by sharply lower finance costs (Rs. 355.68 lakhs vs Rs. 558.48 lakhs). However, the half-year picture remains in the red with a standalone net loss of Rs. 42.79 lakhs (vs Rs. 222.40 lakhs loss in H1 FY25). The board also approved setting up a new wholly owned subsidiary, Samvurdhana Realty Private Limited, for real estate development with an initial cash investment of Rs. 1 lakh.
Short-term, the swing to quarterly profit and lower interest costs signal operational improvement, but the company still carries deeply negative reserves (Rs. 344.12 lakhs) and very high long-term borrowings of Rs. 24,501.86 lakhs against equity of just Rs. 1,093.53 lakhs, which is a red flag for shareholders. The new real estate subsidiary indicates an expansion push but adds to execution risk given the stretched balance sheet.
