Rajasthan Gases Limited (BSE Scrip: 526873) reported its audited results for FY25, posting a net profit of ₹701.50 lacs (₹7.01 crore) versus a loss of ₹49.90 lacs in FY24, a sharp turnaround. Total income for the year stood at ₹823.26 lacs, entirely from 'Other Operating Income,' against nil in the previous year, while total expenses were just ₹19.76 lacs. Q4 FY25 alone contributed ₹179.88 lacs in income with a net profit of ₹67.29 lacs, though a tax provision of ₹102 lacs was booked. The balance sheet shows total assets of ₹3,708.66 lacs supported largely by non-current investments of ₹3,050.40 lacs and share capital of ₹2,306.21 lacs. The statutory auditor, Rahul S Gupta & Associates, issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
The swing from a loss to a strong profit and the fresh share capital inflow of ₹2,145 lacs during the year strengthen the company's financial position, but the absence of core operating revenue (gases) suggests earnings depend on investment and other operating income, which may not be sustainable for retail investors to model.
