Rama Phosphates Limited reported strong Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations rising to ₹19,031.35 lakhs, up 23.8% from ₹15,369.48 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax jumped sharply to ₹1,603.32 lakhs from ₹168.16 lakhs in the same quarter last year, driven by robust performance in the Fertilizers, Micro Nutrients & Chemicals segment whose revenue grew 45% YoY. The Soya/Agri segment continued to decline, with revenue falling to ₹1,391.05 lakhs from ₹3,227 lakhs a year ago. Basic and diluted EPS stood at ₹4.53 versus ₹0.48 in Q1 FY25. The statutory auditor (Khandelwal & Mehta LLP) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Strong topline growth and a near tenfold jump in profits signal a significant turnaround, likely to be viewed positively by investors. However, the weakness in the Soya/Agri segment and the ongoing Dhule Greenfield capex (trial production expected Q4 FY26) are points to watch.
