Rama Phosphates reported strong Q1 FY2026 results with revenue from operations rising to ₹19,031.35 lakhs, up about 24% from ₹15,369.48 lakhs in Q1 FY2025. Profit from operations surged to ₹2,146.32 lakhs from just ₹160.68 lakhs a year earlier, a roughly 13-fold jump. Net profit after tax rose to ₹1,603.32 lakhs from ₹168.16 lakhs, translating to basic and diluted EPS of ₹4.53 (vs ₹0.48 earlier). The Fertilizers, Micro Nutrients & Chemicals segment drove the performance, while the Soya/Agri segment continued to post small losses. The statutory auditor (Khandelwal & Mehta LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications. The company also reiterated progress on its new greenfield project at Dhule (2,16,000 MTPA SSP Fertilizer and 90,000 MTPA Sulphuric Acid), with trial production expected by Q4 FY2026.
Very strong quarter for shareholders — sharp top-line growth combined with a major expansion in operating margins signals improving profitability for the core fertilizer business. The robust earnings beat, clean auditor review, and clarity on the capacity expansion timeline are positive signals for the stock; however, the Soya/Agri segment remains a drag and will need to be watched.
