Ramgopal Polytex reported weak unaudited results for Q2 FY26, with revenue from operations of Rs. 43.13 lakhs, down from Rs. 57.30 lakhs in Q2 FY25. For the half year, revenue from operations fell sharply to Rs. 66.63 lakhs versus Rs. 144.57 lakhs in H1 FY25, a decline of roughly 54%. The company posted a loss before tax of Rs. 9.33 lakhs for the quarter and Rs. 77.35 lakhs for the half year, compared to losses of Rs. 8.59 lakhs and Rs. 8.31 lakhs respectively in the prior year periods. A one-time provision of Rs. 70 lakhs for Goods and Service Tax credits significantly increased the half-year loss. Cash and cash equivalents dropped to Rs. 17.07 lakhs from Rs. 59.85 lakhs at year-end, and operating cash flow turned negative at Rs. (16.64) lakhs versus a positive Rs. 21.99 lakhs last year.
The sharp revenue drop, deepening losses, negative other equity of Rs. (397.17) lakhs, and shrinking cash position raise serious concerns about the company's financial health. Shareholders should expect continued pressure on the stock and watch for any further disclosures on the GST provision or fund-raising activity.
