REC's September 2025 quarter standalone profit after tax rose 10% year on year to Rs 4,425.86 crore; revenue rose 11% to Rs 15,084.13 crore. Half-year profit after tax was Rs 8,876.88 crore, up 19%, on revenue of Rs 29,730.55 crore, up 12%. The board declared a second interim dividend of Rs 4.60 per share, payable by November 14. Auditors raised no issues. Six-month operating cash flow was negative Rs 2,966.84 crore; debt-equity ratio was 6.07.
Profit growth and the dividend support returns, though negative operating cash flow and high leverage remain concerns for the stock.
