Reliance Communications (RCOM), which is under insolvency resolution since June 2019, provided an update on a procedural correction in an NCLT order. An earlier NCLT order in Miscellaneous Application No. 196 of 2020 — related to the resignation of a director from its wholly-owned subsidiary Reliance Telecom Limited (RTL) — had incorrectly recorded the name of the resigned director. The Resolution Professional sought rectification and received a Rectification Order dated June 11, 2025, but this order also did not clearly correct the director's name. The RP will file again to seek further correction. The attached NCLT order shows the bench is also separately correcting a clerical error where 'Respondent No. 3' was mentioned instead of 'Respondent No. 2' in the same matter, and the next hearing is scheduled for July 22, 2025.
This is a minor procedural/clerical update and is unlikely to have any material impact on shareholders or the stock price. RCOM remains under the ongoing corporate insolvency resolution process, and the rectification does not change the status of the CIRP or the position of creditors.
