Reliance Power's board met on May 09, 2025 and approved audited consolidated and standalone financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025. The auditor (Pathak H.D. & Associates LLP) issued an unmodified opinion. Consolidated revenue from operations fell to ₹7,58,289 lakhs from ₹7,89,260 lakhs in FY24, a decline of about 3.9%. The company swung to a consolidated profit after tax of ₹2,94,783 lakhs versus a loss of ₹2,06,838 lakhs in FY24, but this was almost entirely driven by a one-time exceptional gain of ₹3,23,042 lakhs from deconsolidation of Vidarbha Industries Power (VIPL) after lenders invoked pledged shares. Standalone PAT remained negative at ₹(9,410) lakhs. The board also re-appointed Independent Director Vijay Kumar Sharma for a second 5-year term and appointed Ashita Kaul & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for FY26–FY30. The auditor flagged a material uncertainty about going concern at subsidiary RSTEPL.
The headline PAT turnaround is misleading — it depends on a non-recurring VIPL deconsolidation gain and not core operating performance, while standalone results remain in the red. Investors should note the going-concern flag on RSTEPL and the declining revenue, which may keep the stock under pressure despite the positive optics on exceptional items.
