Photon Capital Advisors reported standalone total income of Rs 4.42 lakhs in Q2 FY26, down from Rs 6.52 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Standalone expenses of Rs 14.11 lakhs led to a pre-tax loss of Rs 9.70 lakhs and a loss for the period of Rs 9.72 lakhs (EPS: Rs -0.64). On a consolidated basis, however, the company turned profitable with a quarterly profit of Rs 21.69 lakhs and H1 FY26 profit of Rs 19.10 lakhs (vs loss in H1 FY25), entirely driven by a Rs 38.91 lakh share of profit from associate Nicosa Consulting Pvt Ltd. Auditor M. Anandam & Co. issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications, going concern flag, or emphasis of matter.
On a standalone basis, the core business remains loss-making with shrinking revenues, which is a concern. However, consolidated profitability hinges almost entirely on the associate Nicosa Consulting, so the headline profit may not reflect the standalone business's health. No negative auditor flags provide limited comfort.
