BBTC reported FY25 standalone revenue from operations of ₹27,511 lakhs, up ~5% from ₹26,132 lakhs last year. Total income jumped to ₹47,244 lakhs (vs ₹38,275 lakhs), boosted by ₹18,221 lakhs in dividend from its Britannia subsidiary. Standalone net profit swung to a profit of ₹11,925 lakhs from a loss of ₹588 lakhs, helped by an exceptional gain of ₹5,615 lakhs from sale of property and the absence of last year's lease rental arrears hit of ₹2,618 lakhs. EPS came in at ₹17.09 (vs loss of ₹0.84). The board skipped a final dividend since it already paid ₹17/share as interim. On consolidated results, auditor Walker Chandiok & Co LLP issued a qualified opinion (GoAir-related prior-period gap) and flagged an emphasis-of-matter on a SEBI order against an associate.
Profitability rebound is largely driven by one-time dividend income from Britannia and exceptional property sale gains, not core operations. The qualified opinion on consolidated numbers and rising net debt (net D/E jumped from 0.47x to 1.18x) are points investors should weigh carefully.
