Rita Finance and Leasing reported standalone unaudited results for Q2 FY26 (ended Sept 30, 2025) with revenue from operations of Rs. 32.99 lakhs, up about 45% from Rs. 22.75 lakhs in the same quarter last year. For the half-year, revenue rose roughly 26% to Rs. 69.65 lakhs from Rs. 55.20 lakhs, driven entirely by interest income from loans. Profit after tax jumped to Rs. 20.29 lakhs in Q2 (vs Rs. 7.35 lakhs) and Rs. 42.49 lakhs for H1 (vs Rs. 26.49 lakhs), helped by sharply lower total expenses of Rs. 5.93 lakhs in Q2 against Rs. 12.95 lakhs a year ago. EPS for the half-year stood at Rs. 0.42 versus Rs. 0.26 earlier. Operating cash flow turned positive at Rs. 63.07 lakhs compared with a negative Rs. 21.12 lakhs in H1 FY25, while borrowings declined to Rs. 175.75 lakhs from Rs. 251.80 lakhs. The statutory auditors (J. Singh & Associates) issued an unqualified limited review report.
Strong quarter for a small NBFC — revenue and profits both grew well over 25% year-on-year, expenses compressed, and the company swung to healthy positive operating cash flow while trimming debt. For shareholders, this signals improving earnings quality, though the absolute scale remains very small (total income under Rs. 70 lakhs for the half-year).
