Q2 FY27 consolidated revenue rose 5.4% year on year to Rs 1,179.67 crore. Net profit rose 90% to Rs 82.55 crore, but last year had a Rs 135.87 crore exceptional loss, so profit before exceptional items and tax actually fell 27%. Half-year revenue was Rs 2,331.18 crore and net profit Rs 151.10 crore. The board declared a Rs 4 per share second interim dividend, equal to 40% of face value, with a November 2 record date.
Profit and dividend news may support the stock, but profit growth is flattered by last year's exceptional loss and revenue rose only 5%.
