SAL Steel posted Q1 FY27 net profit of Rs 3.09 Cr (EPS Rs 0.21) versus a loss of Rs 9.67 Cr in Q1 FY26. Revenue fell 31.5% to Rs 87.37 Cr from Rs 127.55 Cr. Total expenses dropped sharply to Rs 82.84 Cr from Rs 140.62 Cr, driving the turnaround. The board appointed Mrs Monika Goyal as Independent Woman Director for 5 years and approved the 23rd AGM notice for September 25, 2026. Auditor Parikh and Majmudar issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Cost-led turnaround to profit is positive, but 31.5% revenue decline signals weak demand. Watch whether earnings momentum sustains.
